Letting Go

Today in class we worked on shoulder rolls which always is a fun class and a great way to feel like a little kid. Which leads me to my next point why is it kids can just jump for it and go not worrying that they may hurt themselves or that i might not work. Worst off it usually does work or they don't get hurt at least not as bad as they should. Everyone knows an adult jumping off a swing is most likely going to hurt themselves. Videos like this go viral on youtube almost everyday. Whats the difference?

"it's a lot easier to do something when you don't know it's impossible"

this is what I think is going on as soon as I think there is a small chance that what I am doing may hurt me i introduce doubt and fear which usually manifests itself into me hurting myself cause I psyched myself out if you may. It is this reason that I try and attempt everything with child's sense of fearlessness, which is not always easy. Part of growing up is learning that there are "limits" but if you learn to let go of at least some of your preconceived notions of what is possible who knows what you may be able to do
